MAJOR AWARDS
Financial awards are announced for each discipline separately:
1st prize: 100 000 CZK
2nd price: 70 000 CZK
3rd price: 40 000 CZK
These financial amounts are gross, i.e. that the tax must be deducted from them if necessary. any other fees according to the laws and regulations in force in the Czech Republic.
The juries reserve the right not to award individual prizes or to distribute them in accordance with statutesof the competition.
All first, second and third prize winners are entitled to the title “Laureate of the International Leoš Janáček Competition in Brno” and receive diplomas with their name, title and prize level. Winners of honorary mentions and other prizes and awards will also receive diplomas, but are not entitled to the title of laureate.
SPECIAL PRIZES FOR VIOLIN
Concert of the best Czech participant of the competition within the event “Days of Young Performers, Brno 2026”.
The prize is provided by the competition partner Moravian Composers Club.
Prize for the best interpretation of a composition by Bohuslav Martinů: 10 000 CZK

Prize for the best interpretation of a Leoš Janáček composition: 10 000 CZK

Prize for the finalists: a set of strings for The Beast violin.

Prize for the best interpretation of a composition by Leoš Janáček: 20 000 CZK

Honoured concert performance as part of the “International Music Festival For the Treasures of Broumov Region 2026”.
The prize will be awarded to the selected laureate (quartet) based on the decision of the festival director. The prize is provided by the competition partner International Music Festival For the Treasures of Broumov Region.
Prize for the best quartet of the competition: a set of strings for violin and viola by The Beast and Timbre.
The prize is provided by the competition partner Warchal.
Prize for the best quartet of the competition: a set of strings for cello.

The financial awards above are subject to tax and/or other possible deductions in accordance with laws and regulations valid in the Czech Republic.
The juries reserve the right not to award individual prizes or to divide them in accordance with the Statute.
The title “Laureate of Leoš Janáček International Competition in Brno”, together with diplomas with their names, titles and prizes belong to all prizewinners. Holders of honourable mention and special prizes and bonuses will also get diplomas without any claim to the title of laureate.
