Publications

The fundamental results of the research activities of the teachers or doctoral students of the Faculty of Music are regularly published in numerous professional monographs, which are published by the JAMU Publishing House as well as by foreign publishers. The JAMU Publishing House has existed at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts since 2000. Its mission is to publish study materials (scripts) for the students of the school and to create quality conditions for the publishing activities of JAMU teachers. It publishes study, educational and professional publications in the field of history and theory of music, theatre, stage design, drama education. The JAMU Publishing House also publishes proceedings of scientific and professional conferences, dictionaries, handbooks and scripts. It also publishes the JAMU Občasník newsletter on an irregular basis and provides printing and editorial services to the Rector’s Office and both faculties. Some publications, especially those on musicology, are also published in English. The JAMU Publishing House publishes 12-14 titles per year, which are edited and the publishing house also uses the services of offset printers.
