The Arts Council of the Faculty of Theatre is an advisory body to the Dean, who also appoints it. It has twenty-four members. Two thirds of them work directly at the Faculty of Theatre, and one third outside the Faculty, for example at other universities or artistic institutions.
The Arts Council is a kind of council of the wise to which the dean can turn when he needs to discuss a particular topic. On the other hand, it must be consulted on strategic concepts and plans for the management of the faculty or the accreditation of study programmes at all levels of study. It is also where habilitation procedures leading to the title of associate professor or the procedure for the appointment of professor take place. It also proposes candidates for the title of doctor honoris casus, i.e. honorary doctorate of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts.

The Disciplinary Committee is established by the faculty and the number of members is not precisely defined. However, there must always be equal representation of faculty members and students.
At the suggestion of the Dean, it resolves cases of disciplinary and disciplinary offences of students. The Commission always considers the cases and proposes solutions. If a student is punished, in lighter cases it is a reprimand, followed by suspension and, as the most severe, expulsion from studies.

The Commission for awarding the Social Scholarship of the Faculty of Arts is headed by the Vice-Dean for Studies doc. Ing. David Strnad, who has two basic rules: the study department is there for students and every problem has a solution if it is addressed in time.
An important job of the DF Social Scholarship Award Committee is to award scholarships to students who have been in a long-term or one-off unfavourable social and economic situation. The DF Social Scholarship is announced at the beginning of each semester, the application has to be supported by the Head of Studio, followed by an interview with the Chair of the Committee and evaluated by all members. The Dean of the Faculty approves the committee’s proposal.
