Passes to enter the JAMU buildings (student ID cards or ISIC cards) will be issued to students from September 2020 at the JAMU Information Centre, IVU Centre Astorka, Novobranská 3. Students are obliged to renew their pass at the beginning of each academic year with a revalidation stamp.

Passes and revalidation stamps can only be paid for through the JAMU Business Centre from 15 September 2020. here. The JAMU Information Centre will only issue them, but will no longer accept cash payments for them. 5 reasons to have an ISIC

ISIC card

ISIC card holders can be full-time students of a university or participants of a one-year foreign language course with full-time teaching. There is no upper or lower age limit for obtaining an ISIC card – it can be issued to a student over 26 years of age (if enrolled in a full-time course of study).

You can easily order your JAMU ISIC card at the JAMU Business Centre, in the section of the all-school offer. ISIC cards will be issued at the JAMU Information Centre, IVU Centre Astorka, Novobranská 3. Students are obliged to renew their card at the beginning of each academic year with a revalidation stamp.

Digital ISIC in the Alive App

To conveniently show and use the discounts, the ISIC can be downloaded to the Alive App (the plastic version of the card is still used for school purposes).

To use the app you need:

  • Have an issued and valid ISIC school card
  • Download the Alive App (free in the App Store and Google Play)
  • Activate a profile in the app

 

You will also receive information on how to set up and use the app by email after you have been issued your ISIC card.

With the JAMU ISIC card in the Alive App, you will have all the benefits of the ISIC right on your mobile phone. It is accepted by discount providers and transport, including the state-subsidised student discount.

The Alive App delivers:

  • Discount overview – easily search for discounts by category or on the map and save your favourites.
  • Exclusive offers – take part in competitions and get limited offers available only to ISIC holders.
  • Insurance overview – keep track of your active insurances and their validity.
  • Expiry alert – the app will notify you in time when your licence is about to expire.
  • ID number always at hand – easily and clearly display your ID number for quick presentation.

Please note: The digital ISIC … (+ name of the university) cannot be used within the university (it is not compatible with the university chip system). You must use the plastic version of the ISIC card for this purpose.

The ISIC card is always valid for 16 months – from the beginning of September ofone yearto the end of December of the following year.

The expiry date is indicated on the first page of the digital card in the form e.g. 09/2023-12/2024.

You can renew your ISIC JAMU card online using digital revalidation. You can place your order at the JAMU Business Centre, in the section of the school-wide offer, revalidation stickers. There you will also find the current renewal price.

Recommended:

  • Make renewal orders prior to the start of each academic year. Orders can be placed as early as … (to be completed by the school).
  • Check the expiry date of your licence

After the extension:

  • Your digital ID card will automatically change its validity in the Alive App.
  • The ISIC licence on the plastic card is not visually extended. The plastic card continues to be used for use within the University.

Important:

  • If you do not pay your digital revalidation on time, your license will remain valid until the end of the calendar year.
  • The ISIC licence will become invalid upon expiry. The digital card will then become invalid and cannot be used with discount providers and other ISIC partners!
