Scholarship
The amount of the scholarship is based on the total duration of the stay (the exact number of days), the frequency of the stay (whether it is the first Erasmus stay or a repeat stay, which has a lower funding priority compared to first trips) and the location of the stay (each country has a respective scholarship category, a repeat stay at the same academy has a lower funding priority than a stay at another academy/university).
Erasmus to the student’s place of residence is not financially supported and is run as an Erasmus Zero grant.
Travel support

The travel allowance is based on the distance between the place of departure and the subsequent place of stay. It is calculated using the European Commission’s distance calculator.
Green Erasmus – promoting green travel
Erasmus+ promotes sustainable travel and sustainability. If you choose to travel to your place of stay in a more environmentally friendly way – by train, bus, shared transport, bike or on foot – you can get a green top-up allowance.
What you have to do:
- to go green up to a maximum distance of 3,999 km,
- take eco-transport for most of the round trip, or at least over 50% of the trip in total,
- have a signed affidavit,
- send the Institutional Coordinator/coordinator the relevant documents from the trip (tickets, application statement).
Supporting inclusion
The programme promotes equal opportunities and aims to ensure that students who would otherwise find it difficult to participate in mobility abroad – for example, because of health, social circumstances or other barriers – can do so. The conditions for Inclusion support can be found here.

Extremely high travel costs

If the financial contribution (grant) for travel costs does not cover 70% or less of the actual travel costs, 80% of the actual travel costs may be paid to the mobility participant on the basis of documented evidence. This is subject to sufficient justification of the travel costs. This shall be evidenced by documented receipts from the transport purchased and a comparison with another offer to show that it was the cheapest possible option.
