In 2020, Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts conducted an external quality assessment linked to the OP VVV (Operational Program Research, Development, Education) project of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, for which JAMU received project funding.
The external evaluation was carried out at the Faculty of Music and Theatre Faculty of JAMU by MusiQuE, which managed the entire evaluation process. However, the individual faculties were evaluated by expert teams from different agencies – the Faculty of Music by MusiQuE and the Theatre Faculty by EQ-Arts. The evaluation focused on assessing the creative, educational, and artistic activities and quality systems used at both faculties.
The evaluation report of the Faculty of Music is based both on the Faculty of Music’s own self-evaluation report and on a visit by representatives of the MusiQuE agency, who conducted a local evaluation at the Faculty of Music. Based on this data, analyses of the current state of individual parts of the evaluation report were compiled, including recommendations aimed at improving the quality system at the Faculty of Music.
