Lifelong education

Faculty of Music

Currently, the Faculty of Music provides instruction in all accredited fields for Czech citizens. To foreign students, we offer instruction in percussion instruments, flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, trumpet, violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, organ, harpsichord, composition, and choir and orchestra conducting.

Students most often complete a one- or two-semester course, in which supplementary subjects are offered in addition to the main field of study, totaling 8 teaching hours (45 min.) per week.

Theatre Faculty

As part of lifelong education, the Theatre Faculty of JAMU organizes various courses and workshops. Every academic year, the University of the Third Age (U3A) takes place on the faculty premises.

Since the 2019/2020 academic year, the faculty has also been organizing the #buďjamák program, which is intended for students aged 15–19. The #buďjamák program is organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University and is financially supported by the South Moravian Region.

Methodological Support Center

A separate central workplace that unifies methodological assistance provided or mediated to employees, students, and those interested in studying. The aim is to ensure equal opportunities for career development and to support the introduction of new institutional management tools by providing assistance or training.
