Notification of a possible infringement
The JAMU has implemented Directive No. 15/2023 LJ, on the internal whistleblowing system, the JAMU Internal Whistleblowing System (hereinafter referred to as the “IWS”) in accordance with Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the protection of whistleblowers (hereinafter referred to as the “Whistleblower Protection Act”) and Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report infringements of Union law.
Particulars of the notification
The notification shall contain the name, surname and date of birth or other information from which the identity of the notifier can be inferred. The notification need not contain the information referred to in the first sentence if it is submitted by a person whose identity is known to the competent person or an authorised employee of the Ministry of Justice (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry). Anonymous notifications and measures in response thereto shall not be accepted.
Call for notifications via VOS
JAMU encourages whistleblowers to report potential violations through the VOS if the violation can be effectively addressed by JAMU forces and if the whistleblower believes there is no threat of retaliation. Under the terms of the law, the whistleblower enjoys protection and JAMU receives a timely opportunity to take prompt and effective remedial action.
